Peggy Williams - a renowned AT teacher who died in 2003 at 87 – visited Sydney in 1984.

As she gave lessons at my Alfred Street training school, she told stories about FM and her training at Ashley Place.

One story, in particular, stands out.

BEING IN THE DIGITAL SPOTLIGHT

My youngest daughter Grace – who’s now 14 – was chatting with me about her future.

Telling me how much she loves YouTube, and maybe she wants to become a “YouTuber”. YouTubers are famous in her world – Vegans, Yoginis, Gayboys: teenage voyagers coming of age in the digital spotlight. Like my daughter.
