A Gay Mammal Loves Just Like A Straight One
by Jeremy ChanceI've been coaching two friends - both with the same surname which is funny - about how to love. Young Japanese men who need an older senpai.(先輩)ME.
One gay, one straight - and you know what?
It doesn't matter.
Mammals are all the same when it comes to love.
There are no new love stories. Oxytocin, an occasional dash of sensible serotonin - he doesn't, she doesn't; when will he? why doesn't she? She can't. He will. I don't. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
It's all the same.
I got this insight only recently my Self - PAINFULLY - as many of my regular readers know.
The gay one is secretly in love (unconsummated). The straight one has had a girlfriend for 5 years and they don't get married yet because, well, they are too busy.
WHAT???!!!!
This is Japan. This is real. Get used to it.
It all came down to one simple piece of advice…
TALK TO THEM!!!
And they did. The gay one said "I am love with you"; the straight one said "I want to see you". Their story - FINALLY - moved to Chapter Two. To be continued..
What has all this got to do with Alexander's discovery?
Simple: you can't teach without a (partner) student.
And many teachers are like my two young men - they don't talk to their potential students.
They sit at home like a two-goody shoes Pollyanna, hoping someone will come. And no-one is coming. So talk. It's too simple.
These days, when new teachers join ATSuccess, I have one simple message:
TALK TO THEM !!!
Write. Find them and talk to them.
I'll be starting a new program soon - all on my own - so register if you're interested.
