Success is No Accident
by Jeremy ChanceBeing successful over a long period is the sign of an intelligence at work - luck or special circumstances play only a minor role.
There's no moment where I can just coast along - no matter what it is I am doing. Of course I can, and for few years it will be OK, but eventually little signs of decay will appear, blemishes on what was previously incorruptible.
An extraordinary success can look ordinary for a long time: in that time structures and strategies are developed that take years to bear fruit - but when they do, success looks instant.
There are no "overnight" successes.
Real success is never instant - it only ever results from tireless application and practice over a long period of time.
Believing this gives me courage to keep on; to never give up - no matter what conditions I meet.
You can do it, it will just take time.
